In 1972, Ray and Harvey Bruner started their automotive service and repair career working solely on Volkswagen cars. Upon building a solid reputation as trusted, affordable, and dedicated mechanics, they expanded their business to meet the growing demand of auto services for all makes and models and became Bruner's Economy Car Center. For 50 years, Bruner’s has been happily providing auto repair, maintenance, and collision services to Crockett and surrounding communities.

Harvey Bruner
Harvey Bruner was born and raised in Houston County, but has lived in Latexo most of his life. He graduated from Crockett High School in 1965. Harvey attended Sam Houston State University where he received a BA in Math and a minor in Business in 1970. Harvey taught math at Crockett High School from 1970 until 1974. At that point, he decided to work full-time in the Automotive Repair Business. Harvey is owner and operator of Bruner's Economy Car Center specializing in Automotive Service.
Ray Bruner
Ray has been a resident of Houston County all his life. He graduated from Crockett High School in 1967. Ray attended Sam Houston State University where he majored in Business. In 1972, he began working full-time in the Automotive Repair Business. He maintains several I-Car certifications including estimating and management. Ray is owner and operator of Bruner's Economy Car Center specializing in Auto Collision Repair. Ray married his wife Tami in 1982 and they have three wonderful children Vance, Raechell and Evan. Ray is a member of First Christian Church and has served on the Crockett City Council as well as the Latexo School Board.
Evan Bruner
Evan has lived in Crockett all of his life. He and his family are members of First Christian Church. He graduated from Crockett High School in 2009. Evan then attended Texas State Technical College and majored in Automotive Management and Technology. After graduating in December of 2012, he joined his family as Body Shop Manager at Bruner's Economy Car Center. In 2016, he married his wife Katie, and in 2017 they welcomed their beautiful little blessing, Allison Claire. Evan has received 37 I-Car Certifications and specializes in Custom Car and Truck Accessories.
Joseph Ray
Joseph has lived in Lovelady most of his life. He graduated from Lovelady High School in 2001. Joe is married and has two daughters, Haley and Ashley, who attend Latexo Elementary School. In 2003, Joe was trained and GM certified while working at a local GM Dealer. He joined the team at Bruner's Economy Car Center in 2005 where he received his ASE certifications. Joe is Service Manager at Bruner's Economy Car Center and specializes in Foreign and Domestic Automotive Repair.
